The primary purpose of this position is to develop and maintain a multi-terabyte database solution which includes all US households with billions of associated transactions. The solutions need to support client business objectives through advanced data analysis, modeling, targeting and result analysis. This position provides tremendous opportunity for growth within the company.

Job Summary:

  • Account management, supporting Account Executive
    • Fulfill scheduled client deliverables and adhoc requests by assigning appropriate technical resources, as well as identifying and resolving technical roadblocks
    • Review marketing program results, understand the effectiveness of the marketing programs, and fulfill ad-hoc analytical requests
    • Balance schedule and needs of client-facing requests with required technical maintenance tasks for account (server and software upgrades and patching, space allocation, backups, server performance monitoring)
    • Translate business rules from client requirements documentation into technical language easily understandable for developers
    • Identify when additional technical resources or expanded levels of technical resources are needed for a project and communicate needs to Account Executive
    • Communicate input data or technical concerns that could affect cost or timing of deliverables to account management team

  • Technical team management, leading the technical team
    • Identify and track interdependencies among client processes
    • Identify and implement technical process improvements (i.e. campaign procedures in need of automation, parameterization, code run-time and space efficiency)
    • Construct solution within existing framework or determine if framework extensions are required
    • Conduct code reviews, run quality control reports, and ensure changes are tracked in version-control software; Implement updated QC procedures as needed
    • Maintain client-specific technical documentation, wikis, and training material as needed
    • Train, mentor, and guide junior technical team members; ensure team cross-training
    • Create and maintain user-friendly reports

  • Analytics team integration
    • Work with analytics team to verify and QC new model implementations and ongoing model applications within campaign processes
    • Work with analytics team to set up, QC, and maintain data warehousing procedures in line with corporate technical standards

  • Solution and corporate responsibilities
    • Communicate and review corporate technical standards and coding best practices with technical team
    • Communicate need for framework extensions to Marketing Technology team and allocate resources for testing as needed
    • Ensure that new solutions use standard code base and QC procedures whenever possible
    • Coordinate implementation and release procedures to meet deliverable deadlines
    • Be the primary point of contact and integration point with IT & IS teams

  • Database modeling, design, development and management
  • Analyzing business processes and performing in-depth work analyses
  • Creation of detailed project and delivery plans that define scope, schedule, resource requirements, and key milestones
  • Interfacing with end-users or clients

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier, four-year college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in programing with SQL Server
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Database Marketing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Management of multi-discipline team members
